Famous singer from Brazil is coming again at Kalemegdan at the end of June

Basketball courts at Kalemegdan will host Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto, who annouces true spectacle for Belgrade audience, on 29th June. Artist of sensual voice, many times nominated for Grammy, will perform with her trio. Designer of her own sound, laid back style of bossa nova, started her career in her home town New York. Synthesis of electronic with authentic Brazilian rhythms and tunes her own distinctive way with modern arrangements launched this singer into the most successful Brazilian artists of all times.


Bebel Gilberto comes from a music family. Her father is well known Joao Gilberto, mother singer Miucha, and uncle Chico Buarque. During her career, she has collaborated with world famous musicians like Kenny G, David Byrne, Amon Tobin, Smoke City, Thievery Corporation, Towa Tei and Caetano Veloso. At the age of seven, she recorded an album with her mother, and when she was nine years old, she performed at famous Carnegie Hall with her mother and Stan Getz. World hit Technova is a result of collaboration with Towa Tei DJ and it represents singer`s premiere step on modern market of electronic music. The first solo album Tanto Tempo was released in 2000 and it had many positive reviews.
