For the first time in Belgrade, until 24th February, the "Chinese Lantern Festival" (or the Spring Lantern Festival) will be organized at the Belgrade Fortress. This is the first celebration of the Chinese New Year in Serbia organized by the Center for Modern Tradition "Balkanopolis", the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade and the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The luminous exhibition represents the most important symbols of Chinese culture. The lanterns will light every day from 17:00.

Often can be heard that there is no time for going to museums. We mostly blame others, not ourselves. There is no excuse now. Night guides at the Historical Museum of Serbia titled "Dok muzej spava" (While the museum is asleep) start at 20:30, and last until 1st March. So, it is the matter of will, not possibility. The curators gave up their free time to show us the museum from a completely new angle. Night walks and quality conversations about everything that is proudly kept serve the history of one nation. Disregard well-known rituals for evening entertainment and experience something really special. And really different.

We had enough celebrations, now it is time for action. Real action! The second winter night half-marathon is scheduled for Saturday 9th February. The start of the half-marathon race is exactly at 18:00 while the 7km race starts at 18:15. Start and finish line are at the Kolos boat-based club. Medals are provided for all who cross the finish line. After the announcement of the winner, from 20:30 to 22:00 everyone interested is invited to the music and entertainment programme. Athletes and amateurs, check your fitness at the first sports event in 2019.

Sweeten the end of the week. You do not know with what? With honey, of course. The healthiest natural product is the reason for coming to Borska street in Kanarevo brdo. Until 14th February, visitors will be able to buy 101 types of honey, pollen, propolis, cosmetics, homemade gingerbreads and more from the producers. Good-humoured merchants will be happy to tell you all about the benefits of honey and the best way to use them.

All this but in a much larger format awaits you at the Belgrade Fair and "The 11th State Beekeeping Fair" that will take place on 9th and 10th February. Also known as "Sweet Fair", the event has more and more audiences who love honey and all of its editions every year. Apart from sales, you will have at your disposal rich educational, promotional, tourist and business contents.
