The 20th edition promises top-notch music and magnificent atmosphere

Guitar Art Festival 2019 is organized in Kombank Hall from 12th to 17th March. This year's slogan is "Applause" which the programme absolutely deserves. Even 120 guitarists from 35 countries will present their skills and indisputable talent during 6 festival days.

The jubilee twentieth festival of guitar sound begins with a concert of the true star in the flamenco universe. Vicente Amigo is well known throughout the world. With his band, on 12th March at 20:30, he will show why he was chosen by Sting and Keith Richards for collaboration. Prestigious awards did not lack in rich biography. Gala opening for all generations.

From Wednesday, 13th March to Saturday, 16th March, the programme will include daily concerts starting at 18:00. Giampaolo Bandini, Anabel Montesinos, Raphaella Smiths, Dervoed, Bratislava Guitar Quartet & Costas Cotsiolis, Yamandu Costa and Jeseok Bang are just some of the many musicians who will try to make you remember the 20th Guitar Art as a manifestation with the highest quality music.


Special attention was drawn to the announcement of the debut guest appearance of the representative of fado music - Carminho. The new queen of fado, as the audience and critics call her, will impress with the lavish vocals on Friday, 15th March at 20:30. The next evening will be unforgettable as well when Vlatko Stefanovski and Miroslav Tadic with the long-awaited project "Krusevo 2" will be on the stage of the Kombank hall.

Save your hands for a big final applause. The end of the 20th Guitar Art Festival is on Sunday 17th March from 18:00. The spectacle "The night of Joaquín Rodrigo - The Three Concerts for Guitar and Orchestra" brings to Belgrade for the first time Philharmonic Orchestra "Banatul" from Timisoara, which will be led by the conductor Tiberiu Dragos Opre. On the stage will be presented the soloists Ema Kapor, Vojin Kocic, Maroje Brcic, Alexander Swete, Zoran Krajisnik and Nemanja Ostojic. It is now clear that this music festival will turn the capital of Serbia into the music capital of the world.
