The Vienna program brings together the composers of the first and second Viennese schools, showing why this city was and is one of the most important centers of European musical life. One of Mozart’s most famous early symphonies, No. 29, is on our program following the Three Pieces for Orchestra by Alban Berg, which the composer called a kind of symphony in three movements. The concert ends with the tzar of piano concertos, Beethoven’s Emperor performed by the brilliant Andrei Korobeinikov.
