Cubura park was created in the 60's of the 20th century in the city urbanization wave. Today, it is the main zone for the youngest inhabitants of Vracar, decorated and equipped with requisites for playing. In the park there is a monument, a sculpture of a girl sitting on a swing called the Belgrade Reader. It was set up with the goal of promoting a culture of learning and reading. Domestic writers and journalists built it based on the reputation of world metropolises that nurture education.
