Sajam

First Belgrade Fair was opened in 1937 on the left bank of the Sava river, on the site today known as Staro Sajmiste in New Belgrade. The area was about 14000 square meters of exhibition space. Unfortunately, during the World War II, the space was given complete other purpose. It has become the largest Nazi camp in this part of Europe.

In 1953 a campaign to build a new fair was launched. Then the new location was determined. It was on boulevard on the right bank of the Sava river. The new fair was built on space of about 300,000 square meters, of which 84,000 square meters are set for display. Areas under the halls occupy about 40,000 square meters.

The designers have managed to incorporate this facility into our most impressive architectonic achievements with urban solutions, specific dimensions and harmony. Exhibition halls are made of reinforced and prestressed concrete and represent the last word of construction techniques.

Belgrade Fair is active throughout the year. Car Show, Book Fair, Tourism Fair, Fair of Technology ... Leading events when it comes to all economic sectors are happening right here. Business affirmation of the Fair is reflected in a steadily increasing number of domestic and foreign exhibitors, large business arrangements and a large number of visitors from home and abroad.
