The works presented in this exhibition were created over several years as part of a continuous process of self-reliance and the sculptor's confrontation with changes in reflection and exploration, personal fears, and the need for closeness with her body as a way of articulating her own existence.
Kristina Ilic develops her relationship with sculpting and stone, as the primary material she uses in her works, through an intuitive working process, without predefined forms and sketches.
The sculptures are created as a result of trust in the very act of shaping, and thus trust in the truthfulness of her own feeling toward the material, allowing the form to be discovered rather than controlled.
