Places of Retention

The exhibition "Places of Retention" presents paintings, sculptures, and objects that explore the traces that contemporary visual culture leaves in everyday life. Starting from motifs taken from advertisements, popular culture, and personal experience, the works deal with what remains after the initial fascination - objects, images, and desires that continue to exist and change their meaning over time.
Through paintings, ceramics, fur, and objects made of polyurethane foam, the exhibition opens up a space between the attractive and the uncomfortable, the natural and the artificial. "Places of Retention" are not specific locations, but spaces where memories, expectations, and images of the world around us accumulate.
