Cumicevo sokace

In not such good time for the development of trade, in 1991, a shopping mall was opened. The goal for the capital to get a world way of shopping was only briefly fulfilled. Once a premium place for the purchase of clothes, footwear, artwork and other modern needs in 146 shops soon lost its splendor. Even when almost all the shops were closed, people were coming because of discotheques and cafes.

The legendary quarter was revived in 2010 thanks to Serbian designers. Bojan Milisavljevic and Marko Nenadic, a duo that creates behind the label "Punkuffer" have launched a new page of history. Since then, Cumicevo sokace has been the Belgrade Design District, or Choomic design district, the location where works of numerous local fashion artists are available.
