Zarkovo is located in the southwestern part of the city. The first time when the name Zarkovo appears has been in the XVI century, and before that village had been known as Bele vode (White Water). Then it became a separate municipality, merged with the municipality of Cukarica in the 1958. Zarkovo is mostly residential area.
