Lejla Slezovic Niksic was born in 1989 in Novi Pazar. She simultaneously studied English Language and Literature and Fine Arts, majoring in Painting at the University of Novi Pazar. She completed both study programs on time, receiving the Student of the Generation plaque for 2008/2009.

She obtained her PhD in 2022 from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. She works as an assistant professor at the University of Novi Pazar. She is a member of the Sandzak Association of Fine Artists (SULU) and the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS). To date, she has held eight solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
