International Danube River Day celebrated across Europe

This event is finished.

The International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River first marked this date in 2004, on the same day but ten years after the International Convention for the Protection of the Second Largest River was signed in Sofia.

The Danube flows through 14 countries in Europe and in each of them this day is marked as it should be. Let's protect the river every day, there is no alternative to this natural treasure.

Events for Danube Day 2025

- The Museum of Science and Technology publishes the second expanded edition of the collection of works "Danube in Serbia - a journey through technical museums"

- The "Aleksandar Despic" Gallery is organizing a panel exhibition dedicated to the Danube from June 29 to July 31, through photographs of exhibits from the River Navigation Collection of the Museum of Science and Technology

- The Museum of Science and Technology and the "Sinisa Stankovic" Institute for Biological Research are organizing a program for all ages "Where is this ship sailing" at Zemun Pier 13 from 10:00 to 14:00

- The "Zemun" Sailing Club is participating in this year's program dedicated to the Danube.
