From May 20 to September 15, the program "Reci: SkulptURA" is being realized - focusing on waste as a contemporary cultural and ecological issue, which represents an accompanying program segment of the current exhibition "Reci: Art - Otpad kao resurs" by author and curator Ivana Vojt.
The accompanying program brings artistic reactions of three young local artists to the current display. The authors of the works, Marko Blanusa, Petar Bozovic, and Damjan Bozovic, graduated in applied sculpture from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade.
Their sculptural interpretations view waste as a burden of humanity, but also as a material that reveals our habits, weaknesses, and responsibilities. The artists point to the process of accumulation, which is not only a physical act but also a symbolic sign of the times we live in. When man builds monuments out of waste, transforming landfills into new sacred landscapes, this act becomes a warning: every stacked layer of garbage represents a part of our collective memory. The artists remind us that we must carry this burden consciously, understanding our own responsibility toward the future and the space we share.
