Summer, Belgrade and the rivers. On the rivers there are ships, boats, speedboats. Good mood, song and fireworks - a real carnival. And just like that, the 14th Belgrade Boat Carnival will be held on the Sava promenade, between the Branko's Bridge and the Gazela Bridge on Saturday, 25th August.
This traditional city event starts at 16:30 with the performance of the Police Orchestra and the performances of the majorettes from Bela Crkva and "Art maslacak" mascots. The children's cultural center of Belgrade, Leontina Vukomanovic, Bojana Stamenov and "Carolija" Choir take the stage from 17:00. Miodrag Popovic, director of the Belgrade Tourist Organization, will open the boat festival 2018 exactly at 17:30.
The central event, the boat carnival starts at 18:00, and the non-competitive show will last until 19:30. All those who wish to ride their boats within the manifestation are required to apply at the email address mgrce@tob.rs or by phone: +381 62 8852243, and by Thursday, 23rd August at the latest.
After the end of the festival ride, the quality programme continues at the central stage. The opera singer of the National Theater will perform a part of the "Opera on the Water". The fun will continue with talented dance couples from city dance schools who will dance tango, Mixer band and guitar trio "Balkanske zice". After the award for the best decorated vessel, the fireworks will follow, and the performance of The Bestbeat - Beatles tribute band will mark the end of the boat carnival.
The programme also includes accompanying, cultural and entertainment programme on the coast for all Belgraders and their guests who do not miss authentic city event. Quality music and entertainment along the river will additionally enrich a completely special Saturday in Belgrade. Sava's pirates and mermaids are ready, and visitors are left to prepare cameras to record this unique river carnival.
