The collector from Belgrade - Bratislav Petkovic, is the owner of a collection of historically significant cars and archive items on car development in Serbia. He is the founder of this youngest technical museum together with the City Assembly of Belgrade. The building, where the museum is located, was built in 1929 as the first public garage in the city center. It also included the cars of the participants of the first Belgrade international automobile and motorcycle race which was held in 1939.
