Visitors of the festival which is one of the symbols of Serbia can expect the festival of maestral trumpeters, a rich accompanying programme, big crowd and the famous "svadbarski kupus"

The 57th Dragacevo Trumpet Festival, better known as Guca Festival, will be held from 9th to 13th August this year. The event that attracts many foreign guests almost like the Exit Festival, for this year's edition, organizes numerous cultural art events starting from 07:00 every day, performances by the best trumpeters and their orchestras, and the concert of Goran Bregovic and Bijelo dugme band will mark the end of the event. The patron of the Dragacevo Trumpet Festival is the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the organizer is the Municipality of Lucani. The town of Guca belongs to this municipality.


The manifestation will be marked by a diverse content that promotes the culture and customs of western Serbia, a trumpeters competition and concerts of numerous performers. The cultural art programme opens the Festival at the Center for Culture on 9th August at 20:00, and on the same day at 21:00, Marko Gligorijevic, the audience favourite since last year, will hold a concert. Press conferences, numerous cultural art exhibitions, tourism fair, book fair, competition of young orchestras, trumpet alarm clock, traditional sports competition, performances of programme participants, selection of the most beautiful national costumes, the competition of Zdravicari (those who propose toasts) and guest programme from abroad are some of the activities that organizers prepared for numerous guests.


On 10th August, the master of trumpet, Dejan Petrovic will shake up the main stage, and he will perform together with Big Band from 21:00, and after them, Dejan Lazarevic will take the stage. The concert of Sasa Krstic, the best trumpeter of 56th Festival will mark Friday, 11th August, as well as the performance of the legendary Boban Markovic. On Saturday, 12th August, a final competition for the best trumpeter and a winner's concert for the 57th edition of the festival will be held. The last day, Sunday, 13th August, is reserved for the competition of the trumpet master, and the concert of Goran Bregovic and Bijelo dugme band from 20:00 will mark the end of Guca 2017.


Dragacevo Trumpet Festival is held every year in the small town of Guca. An enormous number of visitors from Serbia and around the world come each year to experience unusual experiences and feel the atmosphere that rarely can be found. During the festival, Guca, which has about 2.000 inhabitants, turns into a place of great crowds, an incredible fair where the sound of the trumpet is constantly heard at every step, while domestic specialties are being cooked beneath each tent. Svadbarski kupus (cooked sauerkraut - fermented cabbage), lamb and pork baking and other specialties typical for this region represent Serbia in the most delicious way. Beside numerous concerts and gastronomic specialties, be sure to visit the Trumpet Museum and the Lapidarium.
