The European capital of entertainment, magnificent Belgrade, will host numerous world artists during October and organize first-class music festivals. This month, the 33rd Belgrade Jazz Festival attracts the greatest attention. The event, which is a member of the European Jazz Network, will present quality music and fantastic performers to the audience on two locations, at the Sava Center and the Youth Center, in five days. Also, you should not miss the 49th Bemus Festival, and if you prefer new arts, the Festival Nova 2017 is an event to your taste.

Announced concerts in October bring some of the most prominent musicians of the 21st century. Nick Cave with his band The Bad Seeds performs in the Belgrade Arena on 28th October, and since this tour is accompanied only by complimentary comments, we can expect a great time. An English singer-songwriter who lives in Berlin, Fink, will also visit Belgrade on 9th October as a part of the worldwide promotion of the new album Resurgam, when he will perform at the Belgrade Youth Center. In the same place, on 13th October, a metal trio is playing - Paradise Lost, Pallbearer and Sinistro. With this kind of music announcements, it is clear that Belgrade will be a music center in the country and the region.

The 7th StandUpFest, which will last from 17th October to 23rd October, will bring laughter and quality entertainment at the Cultural Center Vuk Karadzic, and as always for this event, there is always a lot of interest so we recommend that you book your place on time. If you still do not get enough of music, now is the right time to take a walk to Skadarlija, warm up with real home-made brandy and indulge yourself with the magic of quality tambourines.

October always brings a special atmosphere on Belgrade streets. The gap between the summer behind us and the winter that awaits us creates an accelerated pulse among the inhabitants of the city and in a specific way attracts numerous tourists who have chosen Belgrade for short, city-break trips. Now is the time to discover new happenings, to see the magnificent architecture that is at every step, to discover why it is always crowded on the city squares, and perhaps you will go to distant parts of the city that are unfairly neglected. While walking, find street vendors offering the finest roasted chestnut in the world and enjoy your favorite seasonal snack.

The capital of Serbia is popularly called the new Berlin, and also, people say that it is the only city in the world that has the same energy as New York. The citizens of Belgrade think that their city is absolutely unique and that here, turbulent past and an uncertain future, a special tradition and fashion of the new age, old age and youth, tears and laughter are encountering at every moment. All of this, with much more than words that can not describe, make Belgrade a special place on the globe. Something that is not happening anywhere, something that comes under the skin and never gets forgotten. One and only Belgrade.
