Do you love good music and life stories packaged in good documentaries? If yes, then the Third Festival of Music Documentary Film Dok'n'Ritam is the right event for you. A unique music-film event is organized in the Cultural Center Studentski grad in Novi Beograd from 6th to 10th June. This year's edition is called "Eclectic is Our Style", and the programme is more than excellent.
Through the competitive and non-competitive segment the audience will have the opportunity to watch 22 films, attend the promotion of 5 music books and dance to the rhythm of quality beat. Immediately after the opening ceremony, on 6th June, from 21:00, the concert of the specific band "Moussaka" will follow. Belgrade musicians are known for their interesting combination of traditional and modern music and they very successfully win over the audience in the country and the region with well-known songs in a completely different arrangement. After the concert, the regional premiere of the film "Maria by Callas" directed by Tom Volf follows.
More than ten films will have a world premiere. Non-competitive films will tell us the stories of Kornelije Kovac, Magnifico, Tifa, Zika Simic, Grace Jones, Maria Callas, Whitney Houston, Laibach. There are also awards for best films in the national and international competition category for which seventeen films are nominated. The musical segment will be enriched by Sana Garic San Ci with band and a guest from India, mandolinist Pandit Sugato Bhaduri. Welcome to a festival that insists on artistic freedom and diversity.
