Two guest appearances and one local spectacle

The musical weekend in Belgrade begins with an authentic Afro beat. The concert of a completely different rhythm is scheduled for Thursday, 13th September from 20:00 at Kalemegdan. Femi Kuti, accompanied by the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra and his band Positive Force, brings the last album live, but also the greatest hits of his career. The son of the legendary Fela Kuti, after the premiere in Skopje, for the first time enters the stage with a symphony orchestra which he considers to be the peak of his work. The Nigerian attraction with support also has a great overture - Igor Vince and His Drum, Brass and Keys will lead the audience into the night marking soul, funk, jazz and r'n'b music.


Canadian metal band members, Voivod band and Swedish musicians, the Maggot Heart band are visiting Elektropionir club on Friday, 14th September from 20:00. The well-known names of the powerful sound, that marked the whole metal generation, with great impatience are expecting to reunite with the local audience and they are announcing a great gig. The repertoire will include a complete career, from songs from the debut album from 1984 until the last studio release from 2016. Voivod celebrates its 35th anniversary this year and, as a gift to the faithful audience, announces a new album that will soon be released. Audience in Belgrade will have an exclusive opportunity to hear the most recent work from the studio.

Magnificently. Spectacular. Unusual. Special event, Opera on the Water, is organized at the Sava promenade on 15th September from 19:30. The occasion is also impressive - 150 years of existence of the National Theater. Conductor Dejan Savic will throw an incredible musical event under the stars with the entire ensemble with over 200 musicians and special guest, violinist Jovan Kolundzija. Considering the important occasion, the repertoire exclusively includes the most famous works of prominent composers. Arias, duets and choirs from the best operas live, under the open sky. NOTE: Event "Opera on the Water" is postponed.
