The Belgrade Photo Month 2019 is a manifestation created by passion for a quality photo. The five creative minds have launched a gathering of a number of like-minded people who insist on the proper promotion of Serbian photography. A unique event, that aims to make the whole world aware of interesting Belgrade, was premiered last year and this year has become a recognizable festival. Until 25th April, you can visit a photo festival featuring attractive lectures, debates and workshops in addition to great exhibitions at 33 locations.
On the eve of Easter, during the weekend on 13th and 14th April, the 7th Rakovica Carnival is organized. Along the Patrijarha Joanikija Street, a rich programme for all generations will be presented. On the first day, visitors will enjoy the show of 40 carnival groups composed of children from the municipality of Rakovica, and the best ones will be selected for participation in international carnivals. Programme innovation is a walk of costumed mums with their babies.
The second day of the carnival is reserved for the international carnival programme, for which more than forty troupes from the country and the world have applied. The programme is not intended only for carnival participants, but citizens who want to walk on the street in costumes are also welcome. Definitely, in Rakovica it will be more than fun.
Sunday is not a day for rest but for the beginning of a great musical event. The Belgrade Chopin Fest will be officially opened in the National Theater on 14th April and until 18th April, the city will echo music of the famous composer in the performance of eminent Serbian and foreign artists. Classical music has no expiration date, especially the one signed by legendary Frederic Chopin. As much as busy you are, make sure to attend gala concerts. All the senses will tell you thanks.
