The Alexandrov Ensemble, commonly known as the Red Army Choir, will perform in the Great Hall of the Sava Center on 10th November from 20:00. More than one hundred and twenty members will attend the concert in Belgrade, which is the first time to be featured in such a large number throughout the region. Otherwise, the ensemble consists of two hundred people, including one hundred fifty top artists - soloists, members of the orchestra, dance group, male choir. A rich repertoire consists of more than two thousand folk, patriotic and military songs, spiritual music and world classics. They sing in Russian, Chinese, Turkish and other languages ​​of the world.


The big accident hit this ensemble on 25th December 2016 when a military plane crashed into the Black Sea and 64 people lost their lives then. The Russian Ministry of Defense reacted quickly, and the first appearance with new members took place in February this year in Moscow. On the current world tour they are presented in full composition, and the great spectacle they will show is always noticeable.

A rich career was marked by the albums sold out in millions of copies, prestigious awards and various acknowledgements. They are considered to be an exclusive artistic brand coming from Russia, and their popularity is not lagging behind the Bolshoi Theater, the Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery and the Kremlin's State Diamond Fund. The ensemble was founded by a professor of Moscow Conservatory "P. I. Tchaikovsky", a national artist of the USSR, composer major general Alexander Vasilyevich Alexandrov, who was the leader of the ensemble for eighteen years.
