The 15th Summer3p Music Festival takes place from 20th to 23rd July at Thermal pool and Men`s Lido in Palic. The manifestation promotes contemporary art and civic activism through a number of interesting artistic activities, workshops, sections and sports activities. The music programme for the birthday edition is richer than ever, and for the first time artists from six countries are visiting with the support of excellent DJs from Subotica. The three words that best describe the famous festival are music, entertainment and activism. The organizer of the festival is NGO ASC, while the City of Subotica, AP Vojvodina, Subotica Youth Office and the Foundation for Youth Culture and creativity "Danilo Kis" from Subotica provided maximum support.

Moon Stage is the center of music events - the main stage of the festival which will host over 20 performers this year. A fantastic duo from Northern Ireland, Loco & Jam, German DJ Eric Sneo, Serbian superstar Ilija Djokovic and Daniel Blade from Malta are just some of the artists who confirmed their arrival to Palic. Beside music, rich daily programme with workshops and socially responsible campaigns will be organized. One of those socially responsible campaigns is "Zvuk ptica" launched in 2013. It represents a combination of workshops and ecologically engaged art with the aim of innovative way of protecting the environment.

The art workshop under the direction of Emil Kadric has 13-year-old tradition at the festival and this year it will be held every day from 17:00 until 20:00, while the exhibition of the best works will be held on the last day of the festival. An artist from Subotica, in charge of the art section, on the eve of the jubilee edition of the festival, presented his vision of the work at the festival: "It`s true. Time is relevant term ... To all of us... contestants, volunteers, associates, organizers and visitors of the Summer3p phenomenon, 15 years has gone by like it has been every other weekend, and we all stayed young, captured in July, intoxicated by magical atmosphere of the lake from the north of Serbia. The festival itself at Palic has successfully resisted the pretentious maturity all these years, like a rebellious teenager ... Like "Peter Pan in the middle of Neverland." Forever young ... evergreen, forever young ... But not selfishly infamous. From the very beginning, Summer3p was motivated and engaged in promoting values such as friendship, cooperation, art, love, tolerance, ecological awareness, healthy fun and, of course, good music. Through many successful campaigns, projects and workshops of a wide spectrum, one of which is an art workshop, a simple and powerful message has been motivating us for all these years: Stop violence, protect nature!"

The poetry workshop will be held simultaneously with the artistic, and Vladimir Milojkovic is in charge of it.

The creative part of the festival is also a workshop organized by street art artist Otto Zakar, who signs himself as TNG. He will decorate festival space with stencil art technique every day from 17:00 to 21:00 and from 23:00 to 01:00 and will create unique t-shirts for visitors, while Tibor Liptak will present an interesting hair & make up presentation on 21st July from 23:00 to 02:00 and on 22nd of July in the evening hours.

This year as well, the festival is also strongly committed to important ecological and social topics, and accordingly, on 23rd July, within the Family Day, Michell Rohmann, a graduate hydrologist, will hold a public speech on the current status of the ecological project for the biodiversity protection of the Palic and Ludas lake named "When will we bathe again in Palic?"

The sports workshop will organize sports tournaments in beach volleyball and speedminton every day during the festival from 17:00 to 21:00. Workshop coordinator is Armin Halas. The yoga programme will be held every day in the morning and afternoon hours in front of Auroville, and program owners are Zsolt Erdélyi and Nagy Boglárka from Hungary who will present Laughing Yoga and Watsu. A special segment is Fitness3p called Boost your body, which consists of slightly different aerobics and fitness that will be run by Emina Savin. The Fitness section will be held from 21st to 23rd July.

The children`s programme is extremely rich this year. A sports school for children aged 4 to 9, SuTeam aims to present the basics of gymnastics, athletics, football, volleyball, basketball, swimming and sailing on the water. The school leaders are professors of sports and physical education and graduates from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education. Activities of the SuTeam School of Sport will be held on 22nd and 23rd July in the afternoon. In the area of the Men`s Lido, children aged 3 to 12 years old will learn various techniques for riding bicycles within the "Track of Skills" programme on the last day of the festival, with the help of the members of the extreme sports club Ground Level.

Summer3p festival was first held in 2003 with the aim to provide quality entertainment to young people in the region and to facilitate the penetration of global trends in music, film, fashion and style. The very idea of the festival sparked when a small group of people, dissatisfied with the quality of entertainment in and around Subotica, decided to create their own party. For the venue of that first party, which lasted only one night, they selected the thermal pool in Palic. Later, the festival expanded to the entire area of Men’s Lido, but the thermal pool remained the party core of the event. The first Summer3p festival presented a side-event and support for the Palic European Film festival. The idea of the organizers was to present some sort of entertainment for the visitors of the film festival, because it was believed that the entertainment offer at the time was insufficient and of poor quality. The organizers then decided that the first Summer3p should be held on the closing day of the European Film festival. Unfortunately, rain ruined the plan so the party was delayed for another day.

The name Summer3p is a result of a casual conversation between organizers, who came up with the idea to use four words to, as simply as possible, describe the festival and then translate them into English. Those words were: leto, bazen, Palic and zurka. When these words are translated into English we get the following: summer, pool, party, Palic. Combining the first word with the remaining three words we get Summerppp or the name Summer3p. Everyone liked the name so it became the official title of the festival, throughout all the years of its existence. This festival, with its cultural and educational content, adds to local and regional cultural programmes of the Vojvodina Secretariat for Culture and Information, as well as local and regional institutions such as the Vojvodina Secretariat for Sport and Youth. The message of the festival, "Stop the violence", fits into the efforts of responsible regional and federal institutions, aimed at raising the overall level of tolerance and reducing the number of incidents between members of different ethnic communities in Vojvodina. "Protect the Nature" is another important action this festival promotes. Summer3p festival is featured in the official city’s tourist offer since 2008.

In 2012, British newspaper "The Guardian" ranked Summer3p festival among the most picturesque festival location in Europe. It gave review of 8 European festivals, that take place at the most attractive locations, on its site. This event was presented as a festival of electronic music you can enjoy from the comfort of the "gigantic jacuzzi".

Summer3p Festival is proud to bear the EFFE label for the 2017/18 year, which it received for the previous season, which marks the affiliation with the group of the best European festivals in its category. This was decided after an intensive evaluation process by national experts and an international jury. EFFE - Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe, was launched by the Association of European Festivals through the portal www.effe.eu and is intended for citizens and artists who want to get acquainted with and participate in European festivals.
