This year’s Museum Night will take place on 19th May from 17:00 to 01:00 in forty-four places in Serbia. In Belgrade, sixty museums, galleries, memorial houses, legacies and monument complexes have been opened for visitors. This year's museum tour is divided into six parts - historical and contemporary tour, Belgrade with style and Belgrade for fans of science, technology and architecture, children's tour and programme entitled The Artist is always present. The victors and the defeated are still being counted, and despite the documentation and vivid memories, new life stories and truths are discovered every day.
The 15th Museum Night has the title "Belgrade victorious spirit wins over the whole city". In addition to the already established museum and gallery locations, we recommend Untold stories tour for this museum night, a tour that takes you to the House of the Veljkovic family that hides incredible art and historical stories and objects from the 19th and 20th centuries. A small number of people know about the rich collection of the Red Cross of Serbia, which will show the century-old exhibits from the Great War to the audience.
Instead of being nervous because the tram is late, visit an exhibition in PUC GSP Beograd where you can see how city transport looked like a hundred years ago and at which historic stations Belgrade used to be. The GSP Blacksmith Museum is a logical sequel, and there are machines and tools from the beginning of the 20th century waiting for you.
The Museum of the Faculty of Chemistry is another unusual place for a wider population. Room of the first rector of the Belgrade University will be open to visitors. While exploring luxurious furniture, documentation and instruments, chemistry students will tell you everything about DNA, a molecule that dictates life. From 18:00, a roller-coaster chemical show of experiments that will be especially interesting for visitors will start.
