The 15th Sabac Summer Festival takes place at Sabac Fortress from 28th July to 30th July. A great music festival, which this year bears a title "Oaza" (Oasis), starts with a magnificent concert of the Children's Philharmonic Orchestra, led by conductor Ljubisa Jovanovic and violinist Jovan Kolundzija. During all years of its existence, this great event of great importance for the whole country and region has hosted over 150 performers with a special commitment to the promotion and affirmation of young music collectives.
The music content is in two stages, the Jelen Main Stage and the TvrDJava stage. In addition to a truly great music programme, visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy a diverse and creative additional content that includes Art Zone, debut programme, classical music and stand up theatre. The main topic of debate will be the decentralization of the culture and the role of the creative industry in the development of cities throughout Serbia. Beogradski Mikser is the organizer of this year's Sabac Summer Festival. The ticket for the three days of the festival is 1.400 dinars, one-day ticket is 700 dinars and they are available at all box offices of GigsTix and DD Tickets network as well as in all WinWin shops. VIP tickets are available at the price of 1.800 dinars and offer numerous benefits such as access to the most attractive festival sites, use of high-seating platforms, special entry to the fortress, parking and place in the VIP zone along Main stage.
Last year, the Sabac Summer Festival experienced a major transformation and extended the programme and accompanying events to the whole region along the Sava River. The town of Sabac and MTV, led by Nikola Jovanovic, have jointly tried to change the festival format, which had excellent reviews of the performers and the audience. With this change, the festival has stepped forward and significantly more visitors each year are expected.
The Jubilee edition bears a name Oaza (Oasis) with the idea that the Sabac Summer Festival is an oasis of positive energy, culture and a positive vibe, and a region of the best entertainment, not only the privilege of Sabac people, but the entire country and the region. The positive image that the city of Sabac carefully builds and nurtures throughout all these years through the festival has resulted in the popularity of this part of Serbia and raising awareness of the importance of quality music and culture.
