Red Snapper, a dance jazz-funk phenomenon, performs in the Belgrade Youth Center on 16th September at 21:00. After a fantastic concert at Belgrade Jazz Festival in 2009, the English band promises an even better quality event to celebrate an important jubilee - 20 years since the release of the first album "Prince Blimey" (1996), which, according to expert reviews, had a major impact on the world music streams. The Belgrade audience will be the first who will have the opportunity to hear the debut album live, in its entirety. Tickets at the price of 1.000 dinars are available via the Eventim network.

Ali Friend, Richard Thair and David Ayers founded the band in London in 1993, more precisely Hammersmith. Friendship and love for playing grew into a band that from the beginning combines several musical genres - jazz, hip hop and breakbeat, enriched with saxophone shares, played by Alan Riding and thus joined the musical band. The first edition that attracted audience attention, "Hot Flush", is now considered an absolute classic for modern dance hits. Contract with the publishing house Warp Records in 1996 and now the legendary album "Prince Blimey" launched them to the very top of popularity, and it is distinguished by a mix of jazz, a funk and punk.

By combining dancing rhymes and several music genres with dominant saxophone, these talented musicians have created a unique musical genre. Colleagues and critics consider Red Snapper to be the founder of fusion of acoustic instruments and electronic rhythms. The next studio releases "Reeled and Skinned", "Making Bones" and "Our Aim Is To Satisfy" bring great worldwide fame and invitations from all over the world to participate at numerous festivals and other events. Due to the busy schedule and great media pressure, the band decided to pause its work in 2002. Members dedicated to solo careers and scheduled a return to the stage in 2007, when they released the return album "Pale Blue Dot". Material was dominated by Afro beat, surf elements and rockabilly genre, and another innovation was a new member, Tom Challenger. The last joint edition came out in 2014 for Lo Recordings titled "Hyena", which again won audiences around the world and took top positions on top charts. The current world tour was created at the request of fans who wanted to mark the beginning of a successful career and the album that moved the boundaries of music.
