The 49th Bemus Festival

The 2017 edition brings even eight magnificent concerts and high quality music artists

The 49th Belgrade Music Festival - BEMUS 2017, this year will be held from 11th to 20th October at three locations: Kolarac Endowment, the City Hall of the City Assembly and the Ethnographic Museum.

The concert that will open the festival is the performance of the choir ensemble Glinka while the formal closing ceremony was given to the RTS Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Bojan Sudjic. Royal Strings of St. George celebrate 25 years of work and this great jubilee will be celebrated right at Bemus. The prominent Belgrade violinist Dejan Mladjenovic has prepared an unusual repertoire - he will perform compositions for the solo violin of Johann Sebastian Bach. The Faculty of Music Arts from Belgrade also celebrates the anniversary, 80 years of existence, and this year, it will perform two concerts. Another great name on the international scene will be in Belgrade - pianist Aleksandar Sincuk, who comes from Russia. Nuria Rial is a famous soprano from Spain and will perform alongside Edin Karamazov who will accompany her on guitar.


Belgrade Music Festival - BEMUS is a unique festival founded in 1969 and represents the oldest music festival in Serbia of great importance, especially for Belgrade, but also a high-profile event on the European map of music festivals. BEMUS has established its reputation mostly presenting the most attractive international programmes. Thanks to BEMUS, Belgrade has hosted some of the most prominent ensembles and soloists of our time – Mischa Maisky, Elsabeth Leonskaya, Julian Rachlin, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Beijing Opera, Eifman Ballet, New York Philharmonic and many others. At the same time, the goal of Bemus is to present young artists from all over Serbia who are at the beginning of their creative work. The festival's executive producer is the Belgrade Festivals Center, CEBEF.
