Belgrade Zoo. Garden of good hope. Belgrade zoo garden. Different names for one place. A unique place in Belgrade. It has always been different. There have always been special rules. Hot summer or ice-cold winter. No preference. It is always a good time to come to the zoo because in this territory it is never boring.

Almost 200 species of animals are inhabitants of the zoo in Belgrade. Lions, elephants, tigers, giraffes, zebras and monkeys are among the most popular hosts, and they are only a small part of the family that has nearly 2,000 animals. Birds galore. Legendary alligator Muja. Seals, hippopotamuses, wolves, llamas, kangaroos. There is no member of a large family that is not favourite to someone.

The latest in a series of innovations in the Beo Zoo is a penguinarium. Recently, 17 penguins from Austria and the Emirates moved to the city. Ten female and seven male Humboldt penguins, born in Chile and Peru, live in a completely new modern environment. The penguinarium has everything it takes for a happy life. The interior and exterior spaces where penguins feel great are the result of a three-year construction. It is planned to host up to forty penguins in it. Definitely, the first seventeen is delighted with their new home.

The Zoo is the most visited place in Belgrade. Every year, more than 400,000 people visit a unique oasis that has existed since 1936. If you have never been, now is the moment to visit the Garden of Good Hope. In addition to watching animals, you will have the opportunity to:

  • participate in humanitarian actions
  • attend a rich cultural, artistic and entertainment programme
  • discover the animal world through interactive exhibitions
  • take the most interesting photos.

Welcome to the Belgrade Zoo.
