Ada Ciganlija opens summer season

Visitors of Ada Ciganlija will be able to swim safely from the end of June. ECA Canoe Sprint Juniors and U23 European Championships taking place from 19th to 25th June are the reason of delaying the beginning of the season that opens every year about on 10th June. After the competition, for the fifth time in a row blue flag will be raised. It is a symbol of nice, clean and safe beaches worldwide. For the coastal environment, water quality, safety and access for all: the Blue Flag represents a serious and profound commitment to both people and the environment. Over 100.000 people visit this favourite city beach during the hottest days. The beach is open every day from 10:00 to 19:00.

Ada Ciganlija celebrates 60th anniversary this year. On this occasion, big concert of "Tropiko bend" band will be organized. A variety of happenings, according to anniversary celebration, will mark season 2017. Beside swimming and water recreation, there are almost all water sports: rowing, kayak, canoe, windsurfing, water skiing, slides, paddle boats and many others. Free schools of diving, sports schools and free renting of bicycles are provided for the youngest.

Almost six kilometers of pebbly beaches with all necessary facilities make the beach of Sava lake the most beautiful one on artificial lakes, not only in Serbia, but in whole Europe. There is a 7,5 kilometers long illuminated footpath around the lake. Swimming part of the lake is under constant supervision of rescue services, ambulances, the police and the utilities service. Ada Ciganlija is the only city park available to disabled people where they have toilets, parking and adapted paths without curbs. Also, Ada is the biggest sports center in Belgrade with over 50 sports fields. Picnic area is available to all users for free. The catering offer of the island consists of more than 70 restaurants and bars. Ada Safari, a small lake stocked with carp, is a place where fishing competitions are held regularly. Ada Ciganlija is definitely the best choice for summer in Belgrade.
