Magnificent talent brings Mediterranean tunes in the center of downtown happenings for Belgrade audience

Tamara Jokic is performing tonight, on 12th July from 21:00 at independent theater Le Studio. Beside young artist, Nikola Mladenovic (guitar), Pera Krstajic (bass) and Pedja Milutinovic (drums) will perform at the concert. Special guest is a trumpeter Andrija Gavrilovic. Price of the ticket is 300 dinars, and special price for students and unemployed is 200 dinars.


After finishing her studies at prestigious Berkeley University, Tamara came back to Serbia where she performed all over the country. Recognizable by the colorful repertoire dominated by the sound of the Mediterranean, she combines fado, flamenco, Sefardic music and ethno music. She sings in several languages ​​and emphasizes the strong emotions she broadcasts to the audience. She was born in Valjevo, and she graduated Spanish and Portuguese at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. She finished elementary music school and played the guitar.


In 2009, young artists led by Jean-Baptiste Demarigny and Sanja Maljkovic established an independent theater troupe Kroz Prozor with the aim to provide Belgrade with an independent, socially responsible theater. Within the theater, there is a bar that is obligatory after the show to discuss with the creative team and enjoy the complete atmosphere. In addition to the basic function, the unique art concept offers a number of creative workshops, the acting school, organizes exhibitions and concerts.
