Concert of Trio Sveti band 2017

A traditional summer concert in Belgrade starring excellent musicians is held tonight and represents a first-class musical event

Tennis courts at Kalemegdan, more precisely Bitefartcafe Summer Stage will host the top music band, Trio Sveti on 24th August from 22:00. The band consists of Marko Djordjevic, Vasil Hadzimanov and Branko Trijic, as they are called by expert critics and colleagues - musicians of musicians. The highest musical education, absolute talent, love and passion for music and great mutual respect are the main characteristics of a great band whose music knows no boundaries.

Marko Djordjevic


A drummer, the creator of the musical band, who lives in New York. Trio Sveti has been creating music for more than a decade, representing a mix of jazz and Balkan melodies, with striking Western influences. The world class musician has won numerous audiences so far, the magazine Modern Drummer calls him a drummer of world class and a true innovator, in the book "The New Face of Jazz" he is among the most important musicians of modern times, while the famous guitarist Lionel Loueke has only words of praise for Marko and says: "Marko is one of the world's best drummers, he has a fascinating technique and the same kind of musicality. His creativity and originality are the reasons why I like to play with him." So far he has accomplished numerous collaborations with popular world names such as Matt Garrison, Wayne Krantz, Jonah Smith, Clarence Spady, Lucky Peterson, Michael Henderson, Ole Mathisen, Jacques Schwartz-Bart, Garry Willis, Hal Crook, Eli Degibri, Lionel Loueke , Aaron Goldberg, The Itals, The Kung Fu Masters, Chris McDermott, Ole Mathiesen, Sten Hostfalt, The Mason Brothers, Eric Lewis and many others.

Vasil Hadzimanov


Marko Djordjevic and Vasil Hadzimanov met at Berkeley University in the early nineties. Soon after getting acquainted, he joined the band Sveti and, until 1996, when Vasil made the decision to return to Serbia, they had been performing together. Vasil started education already at the age of 5 at the music school Stevan Mokranjac in Belgrade. After returning to the country, he founded Vasil Hadzimanov's band which won over the audience in a short time. Marko Djordjevic, Theodossi Spassov, Toni Kitanovski, Aleksandar Petrov, David Binney, Bachar Khalife, Bisera and Senka Veletanlic, Brankica Vasic Vasilisa, Zafir Hadzimanov, Wikluh Sky, Samir Kurtov, Dado Topic, Hana Vucicevic, Vlatko Stefanovski, Jelena Jovovic, Rosen Zahariev, Nigel Kennedy and Jasna Jovicevic are just some of the names with whom Vasil has worked so far. Vasil Hadzimanov's band is considered to be the leading representative of the fusion genre in our country, and the numerous audience that follows their work clearly tells how good jazz is attractive.

Branko Trijic


He was born in 1975 in Belgrade. The legendary musician, Radomir Mihajlovic Tocak, was the first guitar teacher who taught Branko the basics of playing. Soon, he went to Holland and in 2004 graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory, a section of jazz guitar. The incredible feeling for rhythm and melody, spontaneity and charisma are the main features of a world-renowned musician. Numerous performances and successful projects with names such as Dean Bowman, Tivon Pennicott, Rambo Amadeus, Deca Losih Muzicara, Luis, Slobodan Trkulja and others are part of a rich resume of this artist. As a member of the house band, he recorded music for the entire season of the Coke Studios television programme broadcast throughout South East Asia. He is an active member in the bands: Vasil Hadzimanov band, Trio Sveti, Konzilijum and James Brown tribute band. At the time when Marko and Vasil met, Branko was just beginning to follow their work in order to become part of the band as a prominent guitarist later.
