Bernhoft in Belgrade

For the time being, the only nominated artist for the Grammy Award - the best r'n'b album, and was not born in America, for the first time in Belgrade

Popular artist Bernhoft performs tonight, on 19th October from 22:00 to 01:00 within the event of Musicology Barcaffe Sessions, which is organized by a club of great entertainment - New Bitef Art Cafe. Financing and realization of the event was supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Belgrade.


Jarle Bernhoft, publicly known as Bern/Hoft, was born on 21st June, 1976 in the city of Nittedal, Norway. Singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and songwriter is the owner of the famous songs Streetlights, Shout, Choices, C'mon Talk and Stay With Me, and his career reached the peak with the album Islander, which in 2015 was nominated for the best Grammy r'n'b album. As a member of the Explicit Lyrics and Span bands, he has made significant success, but he turned to the solo project Bernhoft and began to conquer the world music scene.


He made his first breakthrough with the 2011 Solidarity Breaks album. Since then, he has been moving to a series of fantastic concerts, followed by visits in eminent TV shows and magnificent performances at the Nobel concert and Ellen DeGeneres Show. At the Glastonbury Festival he performed for the first time in 2014, and the same year he won the audience on BBC One with the special performance of his song Wind You Up. The last tour was marked by a huge 30 concerts where fans enjoyed his specific live performance. After Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, Serbia is on the list now.

The Morning Comes is the latest studio release that came out in January 2017 and is signed by Eivind Helgerod and Nicolay Tangen-Svenaes who experimented and explored the music universe, creating between electronic and organic.
