International holiday of quality music in Belgrade

The World Jazz Day is an official UNESCO holiday and is celebrated on 30th April. In the Serbian metropolis jazz is a natural phenomenon, and world-renowned artists have long used it as "means of communication, dialogue and unity among people". This year's jazzing in Belgrade is taken over by the ladies.

"Ladies sing jazz" is the name of the concert on the Republic Square scheduled for 30th April at 19:00. Ana Sofrenovic, Irena Blagojevic, Jelena Theunisz and Andjelka Simic are performing accompanied by Jovan Maljokovic band. Still, that is not all. The third Jazz Crawl Festival starts on 30th April from 21:00 on five locations in the city. A club jazz gig gathers twenty-five eminent musicians through the whole evening long jam session.


Audience - crawlers, has the task to visit as many concerts as possible during the evening while musicians are rotating clubs till dawn. Klub knjizevnika, Das Boot, Berliner, Strogi center and Jazz basta are the locations where the BG jazzers are performing as well as a festival jazz quintet set up for this occasion. The special guest of the Festival is Anna Lauvergnac.
