City manifestation "The Christmas village at the Temple" starts on 4th January. More than 150 contents will mark this year's edition, the second in a row, which will last until 28th January. Christmas fiacre, concerts, performances, exhibitions, art performances, choirs and excellent soloists, literary promotions, special programmes for children with magicians and animators and much more will be there on the stage on the plateau in front of the Temple of St. Sava. The programme will be organized every day in the afternoon and evening hours.
Houses with souvenirs, sweets, homemade food and hot beverages will be there across the entire plateau. Everything you want will be available at every step.
Patriarch Irinej will open the big city event on 4th January at 18:00 by giving more than 2,000 presents. On the same day, from 19:00, the Representative Police Orchestra of the Republic of Serbia will perform, and then from 20:00, the concert of Sanja Ilic and Balkanika will follow.
Prominent musicians will take care of festive mood and quality entertainment. The RTS Orchestra, Neverne bebe, Snezana Djurisic, Marinko, Nikola and Marko Rokvic, Aleksandra Radovic, Lena Kovacevic, Jelena Tomasevic and many others will make January in Belgrade amazing with their song and music.
All programmes are completely free and intended for visitors of all generations. The domestic audience and numerous foreign visitors have the opportunity to welcome Christmas Eve and Christmas together in a magnificent way, with the traditional congregational breaking of the Christmas bread at 11:30 donated by the Union of Bakers. For the Orthodox (Serbian) New Year there will be fireworks and a big concert. In the season of slava (St. Patron's Day), each will be solemnly marked. A special event follows on 27th January when Saint Sava is celebrated.
