You can still feel the excitement called the first of September. Most often, children celebrate starting school, and parents celebrate the end of the holidays. Joking aside, an era has ended. If you work on yourself, on your habits and knowledge, you will be a world star. Just like the high school students from Serbia who recently won five medals at the International Physics Olympiad. During the summer, Tokyo hosted the 53rd Olympiad in which almost 400 students from 84 countries participated. The Serbian national team consists of Vuk Hip, Djordje Parojcic, Tadija Jelesijevic, Sava Todorovic and Tadej Ristic. The golden boys showed the world how much they know by winning as many as five medals. Well done, well done.

When school and work are out of focus, it's time to relax. Best with music. The concert series this month promises unreal musical nights. Numerous musicians of local production will gather their audience at locations throughout the city. Tickets will be in high demand as always.

There will be a special crowd in the first days of September in Belgrade Waterfront. The fifth anniversary edition of the Opera on the Water event takes place on the plateau of Geozavod on 8th and 9th September from 20:30. The first evening of the jubilee spectacle is reserved for Giacomo Puccini. The exclusive guest appearance of the most popular prima donna will make the atmosphere unreal.

Aida Garifullina will delight all present with her leading role. Only for this occasion, a special amphitheater will be set up for the first time, which will adapt the plateau into an authentic opera scene. In addition to Aida, tenor Matteo Roma, Zeljko Lucic, choir, soloists and ballet of the National Opera from Timisoara will conquer the stage. The conductor is maestro Dejan Savic.

On the second evening, an unforgettable atmosphere and music will be provided by the RTS Symphony Orchestra and the RTS Choir by performing film music from the most popular blockbusters. James Bond, Star Wars, Pink Panther and other well-known movie titles in musical form will be the favorite sound of September in Belgrade.

A big sporting event is taking place in the city. The World Rowing Championships 2023 in Ada Ciganlija lasts until 10th September. The domestic and international sports public closely follows the participants and the organization. For now, praises are coming from everywhere. The rowing spectacle gathers more than 1,000 participants from 72 countries. In addition to medals, competitors at the 51st World Rowing Championships are also fighting for the best placement at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. Ada Ciganlija invites everyone to come and support the big event by cheering.

Gastronomy in a unique edition is included in the city's offer. Magnificent parades are making their final preparations and announcements will soon begin for fantastic events where flavors are in the center of attention.
